Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month at 5:30 PM, in person and via Zoom.

Victoria Fineday • Chair / Treasurer / Community Member

A community member, grandmother, and mother to 10 children and 13 grandchildren. She continues to serve the community through her work. Her goal is to ensure students of our Great Nation receive Red Lake language, culture, and traditions to keep our existence intact.

Chelsey Jourdain • Teacher Rep / Board of Director

An Ojibwe educator with a bachelor’s degree from Bemidji State University. She specializes in culturally responsive teaching and Indigenous leadership. With experience teaching American Indian language and culture, she aims to ensure education honors identity, wellness, and community while blending Indigenous knowledge with academic excellence.

Bianca Mendoza • Vice Chair / Board of Director

A member of the Red Lake Nation and the Bear Clan. Her family practices language and culture at home and through school. Her goal is to keep learning and growing alongside the community and to help wherever she can.

Leslie Bellanger • Teacher Rep / Secretary / Board of Director

Comes from the White Earth community and is a Red Lake Resident. She is currently our 4th grade teacher who holds a license in Elementary Education. She also has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Her goal is to become more involved in our school community and help break the cycle of Generational trauma, starting with our youth. She would like to become a board member in hope of learning and helping the inner workings of our school.

Has a history of teaching and working in mental health. She strongly believes in the school’s impact for the community and wants to ensure a school like this is supported for our community and our future.
